MOMO DESIGN has introduced four new colours of their Fighter helmet for summer 2008. With its distinctive thermally-shaped visor this handcrafted Italian helmet is inspired by the original shape of the helmets worn by helicopter pilots.
There are two matt and two gloss finishes for the summer season; Gloss Black/Gold and Gloss Cobalt Blue, complemented by Lilac Matt and a military-looking Dark Green Matt.
MOMO use a lightweight shell, so the entire helmet weighs just 950g. It is trimmed with hand-stitched leatherette material and inside is a deluxe anti-allergenic/anti-sweat lining by Dupont. The Fighter is fastened by a new ratchet type quick-release buckle, for swift and easy adjustment.
Meanwhile the ‘bubble’ style visor has a hand-stitched leatherette trim, to match the shell, and is attached by carbon fibre brackets. It may be removed – either for cleaning or to convert the Fighter into a jet style helmet – by unscrewing a hand-operated restraint on either side (so no tools are required).
Timeless appearance and carefully selected colour schemes have made MOMO Design helmets popular with riders of both modern and retro scooters, as well as owners of muscle bikes and classic machines.
The MOMO Fighter is produced in sizes X-Small – X-Large, retailing for £139.99 including a helmet bag.
