Meet Niall Mackenzie at West Coast Harley-Davidson, Thursday 27th March.

A Glasgow motorcycle dealership has an exciting programme of events planned for Easter week. This weekend will see the unveiling of two new motorcycles from the forthcoming Harley-Davidson® Softail® family at West Coast Harley-Davidson® – the Cross Bones® and Rocker C®. The North Street dealership has a variety of entertainment on offer to complement the first viewings of the new arrivals on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 March.

A full range of Harley-Davidson® and Buell® motorcycles and accessories will be on display at the authorised dealership alongside the two new additions and some demonstration models will be available all weekend for test rides.

On Sunday 23 March, West Coast Harley-Davidson will host a classic bike event, showcasing stunning classic and custom Harley-Davidsons, for example a 1948 Panhead with only one third of a mile on the clock. Clyde Valley Harley-Davidson® Owners Group (HOG) – the dealerships sponsored HOG Chapter – will also be supporting the event and designer David Rankin has kindly donated a number of unique nut and bolt trophies as prizes for the classic and custom bike of the day competition, which begins at 2.30pm.

There will also be an Easter Egg Run starting from the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre in Exhibition Way Glasgow at 11am. The popular Harley-Davidson® and Buell® dealer will be raising money throughout the weekend to donate to the Yorkhill Children’s Foundation in Glasgow.

West Coast Harley-Davidson® and Buell® will also be hosting a special evening with motorcycle racing star Niall Mackenzie on Thursday 27 March. Niall – a retired motorcycle road racer from Stirling – enjoyed a very successful racing career, claiming three consecutive British Superbike Championship victories from 1996 to 1998.

Niall was involved in the development of the 1125R® and will be present at the dealership from 7pm onwards to answer questions on the new Buell® sports bike. The 1125R® strikes a balance of race track and real world performance. This is the first liquid-cooled motorcycle from the American manufacturer and its most powerful production bike to date. The 1125R® replaces the popular Firebolt® and has an increase of 47hp over its predecessor. It will retail for £8,495 on the road when it goes on sale later this month.

“We have tried to create a varied programme of events to provide something for everyone,” says West Coast Harley-Davidson’s Dealer Principal Don Rutherford. “We are proud to have Niall visiting the dealership to talk about the 1125R® and we look forward to welcoming new and existing customers.”
